Deming Winery Tour

Available Every Sunday

Each Sunday we host winery tours at our winery facility in Deming! No reservations will be necessary, you can arrive at our Deming tasting room and request a winery tour with one of our Tasting Room Associates between 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

A Guided Tour Experience

Learn about our family history and an overview of our winemaking as you explore our winery facility, including our wine cellars, bottling line, warehouse, new underground oak barrel aging cellar, and more! You’ll see what a 620,000-gallon capacity looks like up close as you explore our many stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.

Tasting is Believing

After your tour, enjoy a wine flight of your choice in our tasting room. Explore the variety of wines we offer while discovering a new favorite to suit your preferences. Our tasting room staff will help guide you based on your existing preferences. There’s something for everyone, whether it’s sweet, dry, light, bold, modern, or traditional. Our French heritage and traditional winemaking techniques meet modern American flavor profiles and hand-crafted limited releases. Mix that in with the unique terroir of our family-owned New Mexico vineyard and our expertise growing here for the past 40 years. The result is some of the finest wines offered in the Southwest, rivaling some well-known growing regions.

*Interested in our upgraded, full-day Vineyard & Winery Tour? These tours are a full-day experience and available both regular season and harvest season. A guided tour through our vineyard about 45 miles west of Deming, our winery facility, VIP barrel tasting, and more! Generally scheduled twice per month (regular season starts in spring) and three or four times per month for our harvest season (July – September), these sell out quickly and are very limited, so keep an eye on tickets as they become available.

Celebrate the first 2023 vintage – “Le Nouveau Est Arrivé!”

The Nouveau has arrived! It’s time to celebrate the fruits of another successful harvest season with the first taste of the 2023 harvest.

At Lescombes Winery, our harvest season is a challenging yet rewarding time.

Much time is dedicated to checking chemistry to ensure the grapes are harvested at the exact right moment.

We carefully craft and set winemaking procedures with the intention of making every wine the best it can be. Each of our wines is crafted in differing ways; emphasizing varietal qualities, flavor profile preferences, and occasionally taking into account winemaking traditions.

Collecting free-run juice, pressing, crushing, pitching yeast, maceration, fermentation, and racking occur in different overlapping phases over 3 months or more in addition to continuing to craft and mature already existing vintages.

It’s a carefully orchestrated ballet that can seem like controlled chaos to an unfamiliar onlooker.

This year, as the holidays approach, the first wine from the 2023 harvest season is prepared for release. Made from 100% Syrah grapes grown in our family-owned New Mexico vineyard, we introduce our Nouveau. It embodies a celebration for our team, our guests, and our family.

Our 631 Signature Series Nouveau

Our Nouveau is a young, fresh, and easy-going wine crafted in the style of traditional French Beaujolais Nouveau. Its name meaning “new” in French, Nouveau is a celebration of the first release of the new harvest. You’ll taste very fresh, fruity berries, ripe strawberries, and juicy cherry notes that are supple and juicy.

Wine Pairing with Nouveau

Very food-friendly, this wine pairs well with charcuterie, soft or semi-soft cheeses, hors-d’oeuvres, salty snacks, salads, salmon, ham, chicken, or turkey. It is also perfect for holiday mingling, sipping on New Year’s Eve before the bubbly, or casual enjoyment with or without food.

It’s become a tradition for us to join up with Roadrunner Food Bank and their local partners to donate meals to those in need during Thanksgiving. For every family meal of 4 sold, we pledge to donate an individual meal for 1 to the Roadrunner Food Bank local partner in each of our communities of Albuquerque, Alamogordo, Las Cruces, and Santa Fe. We love to be active in our communities to make them better and we thank you for making this possible!

If you’d like to donate to support their mission of solving hunger in New Mexico, you can donate directly to Roadrunner Food Bank. Each $1 donated helps distribute 5 meals to New Mexicans in need.

About the Artist, Brent Cooper

I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. I am the 6th son of 7 boys and a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University. I work in education and have been painting since the age of 13. I love the weather here in New Mexico. When it comes to the state question of “red or green,” I’m a Christmas guy. I’m a big fan of high school sports and I love to teach kids basketball skills. In my free time, I love to visit art galleries to appreciate the work of others.

St. Clair Port Biscochitos

Treat yourself to a taste of New Mexico with our favorite holiday cookie, the biscochito. These cookies are a cherished tradition and are celebrated for their delicate texture, warm spices, and touch of sweetness. 


For dough:

½ cup vegetable shortening 

½ cup butter ¾ cup sugar 

Pinch of salt

1 egg lightly, beaten with fork

½ teaspoon anise extract (increase to ¾ teaspoon for stronger anise flavor)

¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract

3 cups flour

¼ cup St. Clair Port

For cinnamon-sugar finish: 

¼ cup sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon 

  1. Cream shortening, butter, sugar, and a pinch of salt until fluffy. Blend in the egg, vanilla, anise, and vanilla extract. 
  2. Mix in the flour. Dough will be dry and crumbly.
  3. Add Port and mix only until the dough comes together.

*Adding too much liquid at this point will toughen cookies. If dough is still too dry, add more Port in small increments until dough comes together.

  1. Form dough into ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to six hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit. 
  3. If dough is chilled to hardness, allow to warm. Roll the dough and cut into shapes with cookie cutters. 
  4. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until a toasty, warm color.
  5. Allow to slightly cool then place in the sugar-cinnamon mixture, coat, and remove.
