We currently have a Cellar Associate, Bottling Line Associate & Compliance & Inventory Coordinator position available.

Cellar Associate

Full Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The operation and sanitation of all winemaking equipment including but not limited to pumps, tanks, filters, barrels, hoses, clamps, fittings.
  • Works closely with supervisors and winemakers
  • Prepare yeast inoculates.
  • Follow work orders.
  • Based off work orders, be able to do wine additions, blends, transfers, and any other duties in the production of wine.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be willing to learn or possess skills in a production environment
  • Must have flexibility to work schedules required by cellar production including weekends.
  • Strong commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a repetitive basis.
  • Work standing up and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a cold and wet environment (consistently 60-65 degrees), during 3-4 months per year 30-40 degrees.
  • Ability to climb ladders.

Bottling Line Associate I

Full Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must regularly lift approximately 40 to 50 pounds stacking pallets
  • Ensure stacking is up to standards, while keeping up with production.
  • Put empty bottles on pack on table quickly to keep pace with bottling line.
  • Ensure box labels are placed neatly and correct on boxes.
  • Ensure all bottles are put in correct cases.
  • Watch incoming product to check for quality control issues.  
  • Set up hoses for all bottling runs such as still, champagne, and mimosa runs.
  • Properly clean filler bowls (counter pressure and still wine)
  • Set up mixers both machine and gas mixers.
  • Turn on filler machines and carbo cooler.
  • Must know how to do bubble point on sterile cartilage (still wine)
  • Count basic inventory items
  • Set up filter pads usually 140 in housing for filters properly.
  • Maintains quality standards by conducting visual inspections and production line operation by solving production problems. Refers questions to Bottling Line Manager/Supervisor or Quality Control Associate.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to work with others
  • Ability to read and take instructions
  • Work at a fast pace and keep up with the bottling line
  • Be on time show up ready and willing to work

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds consistently.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.
  • Ability to move buckets of wine if needed.

Compliance & Inventory Coordinator

Full Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deals directly with all licensing for all areas that the winery, tasting room, and bistros needs licensing for, liquor and truck tax reporting, and reporting for all local, state, and federal government agencies. The Compliance Coordinator will make sure that all compliance needs for our fast-paced and growing company are met by doing the following tasks:
  • Complete all Sales & Use Taxes for multiple companies, monthly.
  • Complete all Excise Taxes for multiple companies, monthly.
  • Ensures the company is compliant in every county, state, and/or country in which the company either produces or sales product
  • Register all products through TTB, state agencies when required, and local agencies when required.
  • Ensure that all licenses remain current for places we produce, ship, distribute, or travel.
  • Apply and obtain licenses for any new places the company wishes to ship, distribute, or travel in the future.
  • Research new governing agencies to comply with.
  • Maintain all required records in a manner in which law requires and that complies with our company policies.
  • Performs Physical Inventories and Reconciles to Accounting Software.
  • Responsible for monitoring Cost of Goods Sold accounts for production on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for checking and posting production reports.
  • Responsible for reviewing and auditing work orders completed by the winemaking staff to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (Google sheets and documents)
  • Must be able to read and interpret laws and regulations
  • Must be able to research laws and regulations and understand how they apply to our business
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in the fields of business, accounting or related fields.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
